IKEA FOUNDER DIES: STARTED BUSINESS AT 17

It went from a small-scale mail order business to a unique global furniture empire that most of us have used at lesat once in our lives.

IKEA has lost its founder.

Ingvar Kamprad died Saturday at his home in Smaland, Sweden, He was 91.

Kamprad founded the company at the age of 17 on his family farm.

He’s being remembered for his down to earth style, his work ethic and his frugality.
