Brigitte Bardot has a book coming out in January, and it’s about her fight for the rights of animals.

The 83 year-old former French silver-screen godess has campaigned for decades against hunting and bullfights, as well as all forms of animal cruelty.

She’s also criticizing French President Emmanuel Macron for what she describes as his lack of support for the rights of animals.

She called his bahaviour scandalous when Macron, while vacationing at a hunting chateau, congratulated hunters in front of their catch. Bardot says the game “was still warm.”

Bardot became famous in the 1956 film “And God Created Woman.” It was directed by her first husband, Roger Vadim.

She was just 39 when she retired in 1973 and moved to a secluded home near Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera.

Her book is titled “Larmes de Combat” or “Tears of Combat,” and will be available January 25th.
