The Snowbirds say they’ll be back in the sky Sunday, in spite of a fire breaking out in one of their planes as it landed in Nova Scotia on Saturday.

Canada’s famed Air Force aerobatic team was performing at the Atlantic Canada International Air Show at CFB Greenwood, Nova Scotia.

As the nine Tutor jets came in for their formation landing, a fire broke out around the nosewheel of one of the aircraft.

The plane stopped short of the end of the runway and the pilot and trainee jumped to safety.

Airport fire crews rush to the aircraft and quickly extinguished the flames. Neither crewmember was injured.

The Snowbirds have been performig in front of thousands of people in Canada and around the world since 1971.
