Omar Khadr wants his bail conditions eased. The 30 year-old, Toronto-born Khadr wants to be able to have contact with his sister Zaynab without having one of his lawyers or his bail supervisor present.

Bail conditions were imposed on the former Guantanamo Bay prisoner two years ago, and there have been some revisions to the restrictions.

Khadr claims the restriction regarding his older sister is no longer necessary because he’s now an adult, and he says his family couldn’t have an effect on his religious beliefs, even if thy tried to do so.

Khadr’s sister Zayeb, who is believed to be living in Sudan with her fourth husband, once expressed pro-al-Qaida views.

She was once investigated by the RCMP after frequently reporting that her passport was missing. No charges were laid. ..
