Rock and Roll hall of fame singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen will make his Broadway debut this fall.

The Boss is using new ticket-buying technology to combat the so-called bots in order to get tickets in the hands of real fans who intend to go to the event. It’s an issue the Ontario government has promised to fix by introducing legislation this fall that would make automate ticket-buying bots illegal. Springsteen’s solo show begins October 3 to November 26 with five shows a week at the Walter Kerr Theatre. At less than 1,000 seats, the theatre is a fraction of the size of the venues Springsteen usually plays, setting the stage for sky-high demand to drive ticket prices soaring. Springsteen says this show will be just a piano, guitar, music and stories.
