Workers at the LCBO will begin voting today on whether or not to strike if their union can’t reach a deal soon.

OPSEU says its LCBO workers have been without a deal since the end of March and say the Board is demanding “alarming concessions” that OPSEU president Smokey Thomas says would weaken the LCBO.

The union has asked for a conciliator in negotiations but has workers taking part in a strike vote ‘in anticipation of the worst.’
