Sunday was a big day for Charlie Chaplin fans.  It would have been his 128th birthday.  He was born on April 16, 1889 and died on Christmas Day 1977.
His absence didn’t stop hundreds of his fans from having a good time ‘though.   They showed up dressed as his signature movie character, “The Little Tramp” in front of his former home in Switzerland.
Wearing replicas of Chaplin’s  famous bowler hat, and carrying a cane, 662 “Tramps” showed up according to The Chaplin World Museum at the Manoir de Ban, the iconic comic’s former home overlooking Lake Geneva.
He lived the last 25 years of his life there with his wife Oona O’Neill and their children.
