North Korea has shown the world it means business.

At least that’s the impression it seems to want to convey with a massive parade in honour of the 1912 birthday of the isolated country’s founder Kim Il Sung.

Marchers, dancers and singers in brightly coloured costumes, along with soldiers with their weapons held high stepped sharply to loud music as tanks, guns, armoured cars and flatbed trucks carrying formidable rockets and missiles rolled through the heart of Pyongyang, North Korea’s capital.
Watching it all from a platform high above the city square was the country’s current leader, Kim IIl Sung’s grandson Kim Jong Un.
