It wasn’t beach weather, but Torontonians flocked to patios and outdoor events this Family Day long weekend to enjoy record-breaking temperatures. This weekend’s balmy weather broke records across the province. Environment Canada says Toronto, Windsor and Thunder Bay all enjoyed record-high temperatures. The warmer than usual weather in southwestern Ontario is forecast to continue this week. But Environment Canada meteorologist Trudy Kidd says don’t put away the winter coats just yet – rain, and possibly some snow, could arrive by next weekend. The normal high for this time of year is minus 1 and on previous Family Day weekends, we endured frigid minus 24 temperatures. This winter’s snowfall measured 75 centimeters, much more than last years total of 30 centimeters.
