The Trump administration denies it’s considering a proposal to mobilize 100-thousand U-S National Guard troops to round up unauthorized immigrants. A draft memo obtained by The Associated Press calls for the militarization of immigration enforcement as far north as Portland, Oregon, and as far east as Louisiana. Democratic Senator Charles Schumer was shocked by the proposal calling it despicable. Schumer hopes its not true but adds, even if it’s a draft memo, it’s very un-American. An official with the U-S Department of Homeland Security says the proposal document was a very early draft that wasn’t seriously considered. White House spokesman Sean Spicer insists the Trump administration is not making any effort to use the National Guard to round up unauthorized immigrants. Later in the day Friday, Trump held a campaign style stop at a Boeing facility in South Carolina. He started by touting his election win and then switched to the topic of jobs.
