Donald Trump took to Twitter again early Sunday to criticize the reaction to his Vice President-elect at Friday night’s performance of the Broadway hit “Hamilton.”
Mike Pence took in the show with his daughter, and when they entered the theater there was both applause and some boos.
At the end of the performance, actor Brandon Victor Dixon, surrounded by fellow cast members, challenged Pence and said they were concerned about the Trump administration.
In a Tweet early Sunday, Trump said the cast and producers should apologize to Mike Pence for their behaviour, and said he heard that “Hamilton” was “highly overrated.” The show is sold out for two years.
Pence said when the audience reacted to his arrival at the theatre, he turned to his daughter and told her that was the sound of democracy.
