A University of Lethbridge professor says news of his suspension came as a shock. The southern Alberta school says Anthony Hall was suspended without pay pending a review into possible violations of the Alberta Human Rights Act. Jewish groups are pleased with the suspection of a professor who has questioned the Holocaust and called the 9-11 terrorist attacks a Zionist plot. The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs says the university took the right approach in removing Hall from a position they claim he abused for too long. However, Hall says in a YouTube video there’s been an assault on academic freedom and universities should be places where all ideas can be discussed.
