A wild batch of thunderstorms with powerful winds hopsctotched through parts of southern Ontario Saturday, knocking down trees and damaging homes and vehicles.
There were even fears of tornados. Twisters were reported by residents in Brampton, Beaverton and Oshawa. Environment Canada says it will take a day or two to confirm whether or not they were actually tornados.
Some areas received over 50 millimetres of rain.
There were also sporadic power outages.
