Applications are now being taken online for HOT Lane passes.

The province will accept applicartions at the website Ontario.ca/HOTLanes until August 21st for a permit to drive in the HOV lanes on the Queen Elizabeth Way, even if you are alone in your vehicle.

Beginning in September in an effort to ease conjestion, those HOV lanes will also become HOT lanes for motorists who have purchased a permit to drive in them without any additional people in the vehicle.

Vehicles with two or more occupants will still be allowed to use the lanes for free.
