Driverless cars will mean there’s no need to put your hands on the steering wheel, but one expert thinks motorists might be quick to find another use for them while cruising down the open road.

Barrie Kirk of the Canadian Automated Vehicles Centre of Excellence thinks that as semi-autonomous cars get smarter, sex just might replace texting as the most popular form of distracted driving.

Federal officials trying to come up with suitable regulations for driverless vehicles have told Transport Minister Marc Garneau that drivers not paying attention could be a problem.

They suggest that drivers might rely too much on the car’s autopilot system, and won’t be keeping their eyes on the road.seath
