The frontman for a popular band is taking time off so that he can be with his family as it deals with his father’s Alzheimer’s.

In a posting to Twitter, Nick Petricca of the band “Walk The Moon,” says his father has been suffering from early-onset Alzheimer’s for many years.

He says it has reached the point where he needs to go home and focus on his family.

The band, famous for its hit “Shut Up And Dance,” will keep its scheduled dates through May, then it will go on a break.
