Saturday, March 12th would have been Jack Kerouac’s 94th birthday.

To celebrate, fans of the beat generation author of “On The Road” are taking part in events in his hometown of Lowell, Massachusetts.

Included are a series of walking tours beginning at the Kerouac Commemorative at Kerouac Park, and ending at the town’s Pollard Memorial Library which houses a “Kerouac Corner.”

Jack Kerouac died in 1969 at the age of 47.
