It’s one thing to leave behind a book or even your cell phone when gettiing off a train, but it’s quite another to forget to take your 2.6 million dollar violin with you.
That’s what happened when an American violinist forgot a Stradivarius violin made in 1727 when she stepped off a local train in Germany and left the instrument in the lugage compartment.
She notified police who were able to track down the instrument and found that the car it was in was now on a return run.
Police did some I.D, double-checking, verified the woman’s story and returned the Strad to the relieved musician.
