Actor Will Smith has been getting excellent reviews for his new movie “Concussion” where he plays Dr. Bennet Omalu, the forensic pathologist who fought the NFL to get his findings about brain injuries suffered by football players published.

His research was the first documented study of football players with degenerative brain disease caused by injuries on the paying field.

The 47 year-old Smith would now like to take on the role of another real person; U-S President Barack Obama. There’s no specific film in the works, but if a biopic ever goes into production, Smith says he’d be ready for the part.

Smith says Obama would have to finish his presidency before such a project could begin, but he says he did talk to the president about it about six months ago. There’s a rumour that Obama’s first choice to portray him on the big screen would be 43 year-old actor Idris Elba.

Smith says he would have to work on his Obama accent to convince the president that he would be better for the part.
