The Pan Am Games will be putting more tickets on sale Monday for some events where there is a high demand such as Friday’s opening ceremonies.

There will also be additional small blocks of tickets put on sale for other events that were previously sold out, including basketball, football, diving, athletics and equestrian,

So far about 750 thousand of the one-million available tickets have been sold. More than 100 Pan Am events have been sold out, including about 75 medal events.

Tickets for some events have been held back in order to make seating adjustments and to ensure good sightlines.

Pan Am officials say that once these newly released blocks of tickets have been sold out, it’s not likely any more will be available for those events.
