Toronto’s former police chief is now oficially a candidate in the next federal election.

Bill Blair won the Liberal Party nomination for the riding of Scarborough Southwest in the federal election set for October 19th.

Blair’s 10-year career as Toronto’s Police Chief ended in late April.

Blair says he’s humbled by the support he received in the riding, and is honoured to be nominated.

The riding is currently held by the NDP who took it away from the Liberels in 2011.
