Doctors at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto say we don’t have our first case of Ebola here in Canada.

They say tests done on a person at Sunnybrook’s Ebola response centre have come back negative. The person had recently returned from West Africa and was showing symptoms that were consistenr with the Ebola virus.

The person was transferred from a Barrie hospital to Sunnybrook for testing.

Ebola symptoms are similar to those caused by other diseases.

While Canada has never had a confirmed case of the deadly virus, over 10-thousand people have died from Ebola in western Africa.
