The calendar says it’s spring, but winter hasn’t let go of us just yet.
A cold weather alert has been issued by Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David McKeown.
It was issued Sunday morning with temperatures forecast to reach -14 C at night with winds gusting to 50 kmh.
The alert triggers additional cold weather services for the homeless.
People are being asked to check on the elderly and others who might be affected by the cold.
