Hundreds of thousands of people rallied against terrorism Sunday in Paris, France.

In fact French media estimate up to 3 million took part; more than the amount of people who filled the streets after the Allies liberated Paris from the Nazis in World War II.

Leaders from more that 40 nations joined French President Francois Hollande and the marchers in a show of unity after terrorist attacks in the Paris area resulted in the deaths of 17 people.  Three terrorists were killed in shootouts with authorities.

At Sunday’s rally, Canada was represented by Public Safety Minister Steven Blaney.
