HOLLYWOOD LOSES VERSATILE LEADING MAN ROD TAYLOR

Actor Rod Raylor has died.  His daughter says he passed away in Los Angeles on Wednesday at the age of 84.

The Australian actor with the rugged good-looks played leading men in a range of films from westerns like “The Train Robbers“ with John Wayne, to romantic comedies like “The Glass Bottom Boat“ where he co-starred witth Doris Day, to thrillers like Alfred Hitchcock`s “The Birds.“

His most recent film was Quentin Tarantino`s 2009 quirky World War II film “Inglourious Basterds“ in which Taylor played Winston Churchill.
