Mel Gibson could soon be the director of a major Hollywood film again.
Gibson is said to be in talks to direct the World War 2 drama “Hacksaw Ridge.”
The film would be about real-life war hero Desmond T. Doss who was drafted in 1942 and won the Congressional Medal of Honour for his work as a medic. For religious reasons Doss refused to carry a weapon.
If arrangements for the film are finalized, it would star Andrew Garfield who played the title role in two of the Spiderman films.
There’s no word yet if Gibson would also play a role in “Hacksaw Ridge,”
