The “Doug Ford For Mayor” campaign is finally underway.

Mayor Rob Ford’s brother is hitting the streets, knocking on doors in Ward 2 neighbourhoods in Etobicoke today.  Ford is the current city councillor for the ward, and his brother Rob represented it for 10 years prior to becoming mayor.

Rob Ford is undergoing treatment for a rare form of cancer at Mt. Sinai Hospital, and pulled out of the mayoralty campaign in order to focus on his health issues.   However he is running again to be the Ward 2 city councillor.

Doug Ford took a few days to get his campaign organized in order to be with his brother at Mt. Sinai as his cancer treatment got underway.

He’ll be taking part in his first campaign debate with John Tory and Olivia Chow on Tuesday.
