An exhibit honouring the motion picture “Gone With The Wind” will open in Austin, Texas next week.

The University of Texas’ Harry Ransom Centre will display such items as Scarlett O’Hara’s green curtain dress as well as other items related to the making of “Gone With the Wind”.

The tribute to the 75th anniversary of the 1939 film classic will include items related to the purchase of the rights to the Margaret Mitchell best-selling novel along with an examination of the casting of British actress Vivian Leigh as southern belle Scarlett O’Hara.

The exhibit opens Tuesday and runs through January 4th.
