There may be a better way on the horizon to diagnose cancer.
And, according to researchers in the U.S. it could change treatment decisions for about 10 percent of cancer patients.
Traditionally cancers are classified by the cell or the organ where they started — such as breast cancer or lung cancer.
However the largest genomic study ever done has revealed that it would be more accurate to classify a particular cancer by looking at molecules within cells.
