A famous painting by French impressionist Edouard Manet will be offered at auction in November, and it’s estimated it will bring 25 to 35 million dollars.

The 1881 painting of actress Jeanne Demarsy is known by its title in French; “Le Printemps” meaning “spring”.

It shows Demarsy holding a frilly parasol, and wearing a floral dress and lacy bonnet.

The painting has been owned by the same family for over a hundred years, and the proceeds from the auction will go to a private American foundation that supports public health, environmental and other causes.

A Manet self-portrait sold for 33.3 million dollars U-S at auction in 2010.
