Here`s another reason to leave the car at home and avoid the all-day traffic crush in Toronto.

Metrolinx, the transit agency that operates GO trains and busses, has purchased three CN Rail stations for 2.5 million dollars, and is going to upgrade them.

The agency says improvements at the stations in Brampton, Georgetown and Oshawa will make them more rider-friendly.

Metrolinx is currently upgrading several of its stations, with renovations that include fixing washrooms and elevators, as well as adding snow-melting systems on the platforms of older stations.
