Rob Ford has more headlines to deal with.
The Toronto Star says the mayor was using racial slurs, and was driving under the influence.
The story is based on unnamed sources, as well as an audio tape heard by Star representatives.
The Star says Ford’s speech was slurred on the tape, and that a source described the mayor as “wasted.”
Much of the tape is of conversations between Ford and friends on the night of March 5th.
The Star says Ford can be heard making racial slurs.
There has been concern the mayor wasn’t actually at a rehab facility after saying he was going to one in order to battle a substance abuse problem.
The CBC says it spoke with a doctor who confirmed Ford’s presence at a substance abuse clinic. The CBC says it agreed not to divulge the name or location.
