Actor Efrem Zimbalist Jr. has died.

Zimbalist starred in the hit television series “77 Sunset Strip” in the 1950s and 60s.  He then starred for nine seasons in “The FBI” which began in 1965.

Zimbalist died Friday at his ranch in Solvang, California at the age of 95.

He was the son of violin virtuoso Efrem Zimbalist and acclaimed opera singer Alma Gluck.

His Daughter Stephanie Zimbalist starred with Pierce Brosnan in the television series “Remington Steele” in the 1980s.
