GARCIA MARQUEZ NOVEL CLIMBS BESTSELLER LISTS AFTER DEATH ON THURSDAY

A day after the death of literary giant Gabriel Garcia Marquez, his classic 1967 novel “One Hundred Years Of Solitude” has hit the top of the bestseller lists.

It already had sold over 50 million copies in 25 languages

Garcia died Thursday at his home in Mexico City at the age of 87.    The Nobel laureate was regarded as the most popular writer in the Spanish language.

By Friday, “One Hundred Years Of Solitude” was Number 1 on Amazon.com and Number 3 on Barnes and Noble.com.
