No decision yet on the Keystone XL pipeline.
The U-S State Department announced Friday that more time is being allowed for agencies to submit their views on the controversial pipeline designed to deliver Alberta bitumin to the American Gulf coast.
The decision to extend the deadline was made because of uncertanty following Nebraska’s attempt to unilaterally dictate a route for the pipeline, and a subsequent court ruling that said the state broke the law.
The State Department also said that it needed more time to review about 2.5 milllion public comments on the 5.3 billion-dollar project.
Prime Minister Harper’s office said Friday that it’s disappointed about the delay.
