The Boston Marathon takes place a week from Monday.
And this year the iconic race will have more safety measures in place as a result of last year’s bombings that killed 3 people and wounded over 250.
The Mayor and Boston police Commissioner say there are more than 100 surveillance cameras in place this year, and there will be more uniformed and undercover police officers on duty. And spectators are being asked not to bring backpacks.
