Whether it’s green beer or Irish Cream – be careful as you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

That’s the word from Toronto Police as they watch for St. Paddy’s day celebrants – Irish or otherwise – on Sunday and Monday.

The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday travelled through downtown streets under a sunny sky and with cold temperatures, but with plenty of smile from young and old in the parade and on the sidewalks.

This year’s parade Grand Marshal is Olympic gold medalist Katie Taylor. She carried Ireland’s flag in the opening ceremonies at London’s 2012 Olympic Games.

Olympic gold medallist Katie Taylor will be the parade’s Grand Marshal. Taylor was the flag bearer for Ireland during the Opening Ceremonies at the 2012 London Olympics and went on to win a gold medal.
