Canada’s Finance Minister, Jiim Flaherty, says he’s going to eliminate the deficit in 2015. That’s the same year as the next election.
Because of that we’re not likely to see much new spending in Tuesday’s federal budget when Flaherty tables it in Parliament.
Flaherty has said that because the Canadian dollar has been falling recently, he would have some plans that would address differences in prices between Canadian goods and U.S. goods.
