SNOWBOARDER McMORRIS WINS FIRST MEDAL FOR CANADA

Canada’s first medal at the Olympic games in Sochi, Russia belongs to snowboarder Mark McMorris.

The Regina native won bronze for his third place fnish in the men’s slopestyle event – the sport’s first year in the Olympics.

McMorris broke a rib just a few weeks ago, and had struggled in qualifying.
