Former Defence Minister Peter MacKay says veterans concerned about the closing of eight Veterans Affairs offices souldn’t be upset.

MacKay, now Canada’s Justice Minister, says the vets have been getting misinformation.

Instead of less service, MacKay says there will be an increase in services provided.

There are more than 650 Service Canada Centres, and in five cases they will be providing service to veterans in the same buildings where Veterans Affairs offices were located.
