Rob Ford isn`t going anywhere.
There was speculation Toronto`s Mayor might use his radio show Sunday to announce his resignation, or that he was taking a leave of absence.
But he vowed to stay on the job and fight for taxpayers and what he calls `the little guy`. Ford says that`s what he was elected to do.
The mayor also apologized, saying he`s made mistakes in the past, and would learn from them for the future. He didn`t elaborate on what the mistakes were.
And he urged the police to release the video that is alleged to show Ford smoking crack cocaine.
He said heès getting a driver to take him around the city, and that heès going to cut backon his drinking.
