Sir David Frost has died. The veteran television broadcaster was known around the world for his incisive interviews, including one with former U.S. President Richard Nixon.
Frost, who was 74, died suddenyl Saturday evening just before making a speech on the Queen Elizabeth cruise ship. The cruise company Cunard said its vessel had left the English port of Southampton on Saturday for a 10-day cruise in the Mediterranean.
Frost was a television star for more than 50 years, with shows like “The Frost Report”, and “That Was The Week That Was”, the pioneering TV political satire show.
Frost was a television regular on both sides of the Atlantic.
