She sold millions of records in the 70s with hits like “You’re No Good” and “When Will I Be Loved.”

But now Linda Ronstadt says she has Parkinson’s disease and can’t sing any more.  She says no matter how hard you try, no one with Parkinson’s disease can sing.

The 67 year-old Ronstadt was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease – a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system – eight months ago.   She says she began to show symptoms eight years ago, but never really knew what caused them.

Her songs showcased a variety of styles from pop, pop standards, country, and even mariachi music.

Ronstsdt was also know for romances with filmmaker George Lucas and California Governor Jerry Brown.

She says now when she travels she has to use a wheelchair.
