G7 FINANCE MINSITERS END TALKS TO NURTURE ECONOMY

Finance Minister Jim Flaherty and the rest of the G-7 ministers have wrapped up talks in England aimed at nurturing the global economic recovery.

Britain’s George Osborne says G-7 members have reaffirmed their commitment not to manipulate their exchange rates and to make sure policies are “oriented towards achieving domestic objectives.”

That’s as rumours persist that Japan is targeting a lower yen to help it out of a near two-decade period of stagnation.
