Pope Benedict says he might be resigning, but he will continue to serve the church.
Benedict made the remark in his final Sunday blessing. Tens of thousands of faithful gathered in St. Peter’s Square for his next-to-last public appearance.
Benedict will hold his last public audience on Wednesday, the day before he steps down.
He is the first Pope in 600 years to retire.
Toronto Archbishop, Thomas Cardinal Collins took part in his final mass before heading to Rome. The College of Cardinals will gather soon to elect a new Pope.
