A sky-high salary didn’t stop former Ornge C-E-O Chris Mazza from billing taxpayers thousands of dollars in expenses ranging from luxurious trips to 75 cents for parking.
Documents released yesterday show there was no expense too small for Mazza to bill to the publicly-funded organization that operated the province’s air-ambulance service.
But there were plenty of whopping expenses too, including pricey hotels and flights, limo rides, meals with alcohol — even a 30-dollar omelette, and something labelled “breakfast liquor.”
N-D-P health critic France Gelinas called the spending a slap in the face to Ontarians.
Tory M-P-P Frank Klees wants the legislature brought back on February 19th to immediately reconvene the investigation into Ornge.
