A prominent Zoomer and activist says she’ll send her Queen’s jubilee medal back in order to demonstrate solidarity with First Nations chief Theresa Spence.
Maude Barlow, who heads the Council of Canadians, says she views the community service medal as symbolic of ties between the Crown, Ottawa and First Nations.

Spence has been on a liquid-only diet to back a demand for a meeting that includes both Prime Minister Harper and Governor General David Johnston.
