A bill that would force new contracts on Ontario’s teachers has been introduced in the legislature.
It would allow the governing Liberals to rein in wages and benefits while also banning lockouts and strikes.
The Opposition Conservatives say they will support the bill even though Leader Tim Hudak says he’d prefer a wage freeze for all public-sector workers.
The New Democrats, on the other hand, say they won’t support the bill.
