It was 50 years ago today that Marilyn Monroe died at the age of 36.
The screen icon was found in her Los Angeles house with an empty bottle of sleeping pills by her side.
Some T-V stations are marking the anniversary by airing her movies.
Monroe appeared in 29 pictures, with starring roles in such films as “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes,” “The Seven Year Itch,” “Niagara,” “Bus Stop,” and “Some Like it Hot.”
