Meet Satwa, a 1-year-old female mixed breed dog with a beautiful beige and black brindle coat, and gorgeous brown eyes. Satwa was recently transported from Northern Ontario into the care of Toronto Humane Society. 

She is a sweetie who takes time to adjust to new environments. The outside world is a scary place, so she wants to explore it at her own pace with a companion by her side. Satwa’s motto is slow and steady wins the race! Offering treats, especially wet food, and plenty of patience is a great way to open her heart. Once she warms up to you and adapts to her new environment, Satwa will feel right at home!

Satwa is currently heartworm positive, so she will need to continue her treatment to be fully cleared. She will also need to be on restricted exercise during this time, but that will provide ample opportunities for a deep connection. With time, Satwa will feel comfortable cuddling up with you on the couch while watching your favourite movie or TV show.
